Historical Data	The La Ronde Rue, located at 4401 Pacific Coast Highway, occupied the site hugging the Long Beach Traffic Circle. It was a Big-Band supper-club with swanky decor and performers such as Scatman Crothers and trumpeter Ziggy Elman; it closed in 1962. That same year, on Dec. 6, 1962 it re-opened as KRLA DJ Bob Eubanks' "Cinnamon Cinder". The impressive grand opening brought 1,000 young-adults, mostly between the ages of 18 and 25, to see and hear the Beach Boys. The nonalcoholic teen nightclub was monitored closely by manager Mickey Brown, a former LAPD officer and showcased such acts as the Beach Boys, Ike & Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, The Righteous Brothers, Brenton Wood, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, and the Shirelles, to name a few. Unfortunately, the legendary club closed eight years later. For a brief time, it became a restaurant-bar called The Insider, which was also managed by Brown. It was finally torn down completely, and as of 2008 a Toyota dealership had taken its place.
