Description	Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan in animated conversation with State Assembly Representative Robert Hertzberg during introductions at a press conference at the North Hollywood MTA Station where Governor Gray Davis announced new money for a busway (the Metro Orange Line) from the station. Richard J. Riordan is a Republican politician who served as the California Secretary of Education from 2003-2005, and was Mayor of Los Angeles from 1993-2001. Robert Myles Hertzberg served in the California State Assembly from 1996-2002. In 2000 he was elected Speaker of the State Assembly. Joseph Graham Davis Jr, "Gray" Davis, served as the Chief of Staff from 1975-1981, was California State Assemblyman from1983-1987, California State Controller from 1987-1995, Lieutenant Governor of California from 1995-1999, and the 37th Governor of California from 1999-2003.
