Description	Photograph caption dated August 2, 1932 reads, "A problem of angles centers a controversy today as to whether Eddie Tolan beat out his American teammate, Ralph Metcalfe, in the Olympic 100 meters dash, as the judges officially decided, or whether metcalfe actually crossed the finish line first, as many spectators believed. This photo shows them approaching the finish line."
