Description	Photograph caption dated January 19, 1929 reads, "The scientific apparatus, which Dr. Wagner spent three years in perfecting, reveals the emotion, or vibrato, in Mildred Dutcher's voice is ideal for "blues" singing. Upper graph shows her "even" voice record before training. Lower graph shows how training has pitched her voice lower and more vibrant, as revealed by increased jaggedness of the "emotion line."
