Description	Photograph caption dated November 23, 1930 reads, "This photo shows a section of the crowd of 2100 at the forensic event of "Young America" held in the auditorium of Polytechnic high school. Many proud parents, relatives and classmates heard 10 boys and 2 girls, the best speakers in the city's high schools, deliver extemporaneous orations on various phases of the vital, current topic, "The Relationship of Athletics to Scholastic Endeavor." The competition, judged by a committee of notables, was the keenest in the history of the contests."
