Historical Data	Elinor Troy was born on September 15, 1916 in Washington, D. C. She started her career as a dancer and made her film debut in 1937 in an appearance in "Meet The Boyfriend." She appeared in a few more films and had several high-profile relationships including one with boxer Jack Doyle and socialite Tommy Manville. Troy became ill with tuberculosis and died on November 29, 1949.
Description	Photograph caption dated October 4, 1937, reads "Elinor Troy, 'the girl in the night club fishbowl,' who assertedly was escorted the other evening by Jack Doyle, romantic Irish fighter, is shown greeting her mother, Mrs. Elsie Edmondston, when the mother arrived today from Washington, D.C. Mrs. Edmondston said she came to take her daughter back 'to a man who really loves her.'" Troy and her mother are greeting each other as Mrs. Edmondston exits a United Airlines plane. Both women have furs.
