Description	Photograph caption dated August 8, 1933 reads "By a Los Angeles court order, Henry B. Halstead, well-known orchestra leader, has 30 days in which to make some payment of alimony to Mrs. Elizabeth Halstead, who divorced him in March, 1932. It was claimed that he had paid her only $20. According to testimony in his behalf, receipts of his orchestra from October to July were $23, 646, but in that time his expenses were more than $26,000. The court found the musician guilty of contempt for failure to keep up his alimony payments and sentenced him to three days in jail, then suspended the sentence for 30 days."
