Historical Data	Ava Gardner was an Academy Award winning actress. She was born in North Carolina and signed with MGM in 1941. She appeared in several high-profile films from the 1950s to 1970s, and continued to act until a few years before her death. She was married to actor Mickey Rooney, musician Artie Shaw and singer and actor Frank Sinatra. She died at the age of 67 in London in 1990.
Description	Photograph dated June 3, 1957 reads "Globe-trotting actress returns after 3-year absence. Globe-trotting Ava Gardner returned today to the town in which she once flourishd (sic) as a reigning beauty but there was no hint whether she had come back to give Frank Sinatra the legal gate."
