Historical Data	Mary Pickford was a Canadian-born silent film actress, famously known as "America's sweetheart" co-founder of American Artists film studio, and one of the original founders of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Photograph dated August 6, 1940.
Description	Photograph caption dated November 6, 1940 reads "Welcoming several hundred new members to their organization, leaders of the Junior Auxiliary of the Jewish Home for the Aged are shown at the gala party at Pickfair, home of Mary Pickford. Left to right, Dorothy Loeb, Mrs. Ida M. Cummings, president; Miss Pickford and Mrs. David Sefman. Miss Pickford joined the auxiliary last year to aid in the work which makes life happier for 200 aged men and women. Many Hollywood celebrities were guests at the party."
