Description	Photograph caption dated June 15, 1946 reads, "To commemorate the showing of the first American film since evacuation of the Nazis from Belgium. J. Von Cottom, editor of Cine Revue, leading Belgium motion picture magazine published in Brussels, journeyed to Hollywood to bestow a gold medal award on Greer Garson. The plaque has voted Miss Garson as the favorite of Belgium seven years ago following the premiere of 'Goodbye Mr. Chips'. The war banned both travel and importation of American films. With the ban recently lifted, Belgium audiences again saw Miss Garson on the screen, and again voted her their favorite star. So great was the enthusiasm of Belgium moviegoers that they delegated Cottom to present the medal to the M-G-M actress, and to deliver it personally. He did yesterday on the set of the star's latest picture."
