Salvador
.
Eight
people
were
cited
for
trespassing
and
one
man
was
arrested
,
according
to
police
Sgt
.
Robert
Griffen
, as
federal
officers
,
right
,
dragged
demonstrators
from
entrances
to the
building
on
Los
Angeles
Street
. The
demonstration
was
planned
to
coincide
with
President
Reagan's
Inauguration
in
Washington
and was
part
of a
planned
national
campaign
,
according
to
spokeswoman
Nancy
Smith
. The
plan
was that if a
U.S
.
invasion
of
Central
America
were to
occur
,
10,000
people
would
subject
themselves
to
arrest
on
federal
property
, she
said
.
General
Services
Administration
spokeswoman
Mary
Filippini
said
that
when
officers
asked
the
demonstrators
to
move
from the
doorways
of the
building
, they
did
so
but then
came
back
.
When
they
refused
to
move
a
second
time
,
eight
of them were
issued
citations
. A
man
who
returned
a
third
time
was
arrested
and will be
arraigned
Monday.
