Description	Photograph caption dated February 15, 1986 reads, "Hundreds of protesters, organized by the Committee to Save Human Services and Neighborhood Development Programs, march on L.A. City Hall under threatening skies to call for an end to proposed state and federal budget cuts in social programs. The protest focused on a 15 percent deferral of the Community Development Block Grant, which opponents say could cost Los Angeles County $30 million in child care, medical care, housing, jobs and emergency food programs. Local politicians, including Mayor Tom Bradley and Councilmen Richard Alatorre, David Cunningham and John Ferraro, seized the opportunity to denounce cuts in programs that benefit the poor. Bradley led the crowd in a chant of "We won't take it" then hollered, "Nobody is going to stop you - we can't stand these cuts"
