Description	Chart showing the daily peak production and discovery date of major United States oil fields. The top producer is Graves Sands, Smackover Arkansas, with local Santa Fe Springs coming in second. In the upper left corner, it reads, "world's record daily output Dec. 22, 1921 - 513,000 barrels Teteco-Cerro Azul, Mexico." The most significant fact disclosed in the graph is that out of 22 major oil pools found in the three-quarters of a century of American petroleum industry, 8 reached their peak within a period of 7 months in the single year of 1923.
