Description	Photograph caption dated November 8, 1947 reads, "Chas de Cruz (left), Vice President of the Argentina Association of Motion Picture Critics, presents an award to Hugo Fregonese (right) for his distinguished contribution to motion picture both in Argentina and abroad. Presentation was made in the library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences with President Jean Hersholt assisting. Fregonese has been signed by M.G.M. as a director following acclaim of 'Donde Mueren Las Palabras' (Where Words Fail.) The film will soon be released in America, dubbed in English. De Cruz also represented the Argentine Academy of Arts and Sciences during his Hollywood sojourn. He is one of Latin America's foremost film critics, columnist for 'Critica' and motion picture commentator for Radio el Grano."
