Description	Photograph caption dated July 19, 1982 reads, "A group called the "July 19th Coalition" yesterday celebrated the anniversary of the July 19, 1979, revolution in Nicaragua in which guerrillas ousted the rightist government of the late President Anastasio Somoza. The marchers also were protesting U.S. foreign policy in Central America, particularly in El Salvador, and the loss of life reported in ongoing clashes between government and guerrilla troops. The protesters accuse the United States of intervention in the internal affairs of Nicaragua and El Salvador. A group of about 150 people marched from Olvera Street through downtown to Pershing Square where they demonstrated under the watchful eye of the LAPD for approximately an hour."
