Description	Corporal Lee Russell often dreamed of some day seeing in person his favorite motion picture star, Greer Garson, while in a Japanese prison camp in the Philippines. This photograph is proof that when Corporal Russell, who won four purple hearts and three presidential citations during thirty months in New Guinea and the Philippines, couldn't be stopped, either by the "Japs" or a studio cop, when he made his mind up. Corporal Russell was snapped while visiting Miss Garson on the set of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's "Mrs. Parkington." He arrived back in the United States a short time ago, joining that valiant band of American fighting men who have a fiercely personal reason for hating the "Japs." Photograph dated May 31, 1944.
