Description	Spotlights sit on top of vans parked at the entrance of the Statler Hotel as cars arrive with passengers for the hotel opening ceremony. Holabird, Root & Burgee of Chicago were the architects for the Statler Center which later became The Omni and then The Wilshire Grand Hotel. Photograph caption dated October 28, 1952 reads, "Subtle indirect lighting, tall palm trees and modern architecture reveal the beauty of the new Hotel Statler at Wilshire boulevard and Figueroa street, where offical opening ceremonies were held last night in the Pacific Room."
