Historical Data	Polytechnic High School was founded in 1897 as a commercial branch of the Los Angeles High School. In 1905, Neoclassical style campus buildings were constructed on the corner of Washington Blvd. and Flower St. In 1935, to honor the school's founder and first principal, John H. Francis was added to the school's name. Fifty years after the campus on Washington and Flower was built, it was decided that the high school should be relocated to the San Fernando Valley. In 1957, the new John H. Francis Polytechnic High School campus was built in Sun Valley.
Description	Photograph caption reads, "'Old grads' of the Polytechnic high school class of 1900 are pictured at their thirty-fifth anniversary meeting yesterday. Left to right, in front row are Cal Grayson, R. A. Bodleach, Bernard Schulman, George L. Reynolds, Millie Young Baxter and B. Frank Hopkins, president of the February, 1900, class and chairman of the reunion. In back row, Prof. W. H. Wagner, teacher of the class; Leon Sedgwick Griswold, Walter Callahan, president of the June class; W. T. McNeely, Sadie Massey, Dr. Joseph N. Laraia and Ralph E. Homann.
