Description	Capt. Edward C. Crossman, a ballistics expert, tested glass taken from the auto driven by the murder suspects (August Palombo's murder) by firing shots at it. Here are the results: When he fired a high-powered 30-30 rifle at the glass, a bullet went through the glass (see image 00068796), but when he shot a 45-caliber pistol, the bullet cracked the glass, but did not penetrate it. The question of whether the glass in an automobile said to have been used by Mike Pupillo, Vito Ardito, Rocco Gravino, John Testino and Domenico Di Ciolla is bullet-proof will be an important factor in deciding their fate. Dated July 27, 1928.
