Kublesky
, was a
comedian
and
vaudeville
performer
as
well
as a
radio
,
television
and
film
actor
. He was
one
of the
biggest
radio
stars
,
becoming
an
enormously
successful
national
figure
with a
weekly
radio
show
called
"The
Jack
Benny
Program
" that
ran
from
1932
to
1955
(on
NBC
and
CBS
respectively)
. The
television
version
of "The
Jack
Benny
Program
",
which
ran
from
1950
to
1965
proved
to be
immensely
successful
as
well
. In
early
December
of
1974
,
Benny
was
diagnosed
with
inoperable
pancreatic
cancer
; he
died
on
December
26
and
two
days
later
was
interred
in a
crypt
at
Hillside
Memorial
Park
Cemetery
in
Culver
City
.

stars
on the
Hollywood
Walk
of
Fame
