Description	Panoramic view of Cabrillo Beach, Los Angeles Harbor, San Pedro, on September 14, 1932. This is the second largest artificial beach in the world, the largest being Coney Island, N.Y. This photo shows the new bath house and boat house, together with new roadways just completed by the Los Angeles Department of Playground and Recreation. Two bathing beaches are shown. The one on the right is to the open ocean, that on the left is in the sheltered waters inside the government breakwater. Vessels of the U. S. fleet may be seen in the background. The sand for Cabrillo Beach was secured when the federal government dredged out the main channel of the harbor five years earlier, deepening it from 30 to 35 feet.
