Description	Foot and handprints of child/juvenile movie star, Shirley Temple, imprinted in the rotunda of Grauman's Chinese Theater on Hollywood Boulevard. Shirley Jane Temple, later known as Shirley Temple Black, is a former child actress famously known for her dimples and curly hair. She starred in over 40 films during the 1930's, ranking as the top-grossing box office star for four years in a row. Temple was a true professional from the tender age of five, earning public adulation and approval of her peers. Shirley Temple was the first recipient of the special Juvenile Performer Academy Award in 1934 and is the youngest actress to add foot and hand prints to the forecourt at Grauman's Chinese Theater. She retired from motion pictures in 1949 and later went on to hold several diplomatic posts, serving as the U.S. delegate to many international conferences and summits. Shirley Temple Black received Kennedy Center Honors in 1998 and the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award in 2005. She now resides in Woodside, California. Photograph dated January 27, 1938.
