Description	Los Angeles Harbor's importance as a center of commerce is emphasized by this photo showing ten merchant ships, valued at $35,000,000 in one small area of the port on a recent day. The aerial view of slip No. 1 shows the Yale, coastwise liner; the Monterey, new $8,000,000 California and Australia liner; the Malolo, California and Hawaii liner; the Dorothy Alexander, coastwise liner; the Emma Alexander, coastwise liner; the H. F. Alexander, largest of the Pacific coastwise liners; the Warwick, oil tanker; the Brazos, Navy tanker; the Tacoma, German liner; and the Svenor, Norwegian tanker. Photo date: June 6, 1932.
