Description	By covered wagon, the first railroad and windjammers "round the horn" the first white women in California, arrived. In gathering data for the four principal eras, Mr. Cornwell made as many as 50 sketches or photos of single subjects. The preliminary color drawings for murals to adorn the rotunda of the new Los Angeles library and portray periods of California's history have been completed by Dean Cornwell, noted artist. This color drawing shows how his mural of the 'Arrival of the white woman', will appear. Photo dated: May 8, 1929.
