Description	Typical of the innovations "built with the child in mind" is this two-level counter at Culver Avenue School in West Los Angeles. The little ones don't have to stand on tip-toe to talk over the counter anymore. Here Principal Mrs. Esther McGinnis helps register Susan Bagge, 8; Jerry Bell, 8; Mark McClaren, 5; Gail Goldman, 5, and Robert Pavich, 5. Counter makes the latter three feel more grown-up.
