Historical Data	Kent Twitchell created the six-story, 11,000-square-foot mural in acrylic paint using mostly a #6 watercolor brush; he worked from 1978-1987, usually at night in his spare time, and had no assistants. Sadly, this famous work of art was illegally painted over on June 2, 2006. The artist was never notified that such action would take place, and no one has ever admitted to ordering the mural to be painted over. Kent Twitchell is an artist and muralist most famous for his larger-than-life photorealist mural portraits, which can be found throughout Los Angeles cities.
Description	A mural titled "Ed Ruscha Monument" shows an image of artist Ed Ruscha on the exterior of the Job Corps Center at 1031 S. Hill Street. He is in his red silk shirt, looking toward downtown, as viewed through an alleyway on Olympic Boulevard.
