Description	The construction of the Arco Plaza (now the City National Plaza) at Flower and 5th Street in Los Angeles. The Jonathan Club Building can be seen in the background, looking southwest. Albert C. Martin and Associates were the architects. The sign at the corner reads "Atlantic Richfield Plaza". Two 52-story towers would replace Morgan, Walls, & Clements zigzag Moderne Richfield Building with stone sheathed towers built to contain the office of the Atlantic Richfield Oil Company and Bank of America. Across the street in the lower portion of the picture is the staff parking lot of the Los Angeles Public Library.
