Description	View of the main entrance and left side of First Christian Church, located at 15709 S. Normandie Ave. in the city of Gardena. This photo, taken from across the street, shows a small and unadorned white building with a gray roof and pointy steeple directly over the main entrance. A house and an apartment building are visible on the right and a fenced-off area is on the left. First Christian Church offers Sunday Masses in English, Korean and Spanish, according to its marquee (not visible). Christianity is a monotheistic religion centered on the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth, which teaches that Jesus is the Son of God and the Messiah prophesied. The core Christian belief is that, through the death and resurrection of Jesus, sinful humans can be reconciled to God and thereby are offered salvation and the promise of eternal life. Also, through faith in Jesus, one can be saved from sin and eternal death. Christianity is one of the world's largest religions with an estimated number of followers that ranges between 1.5 and 2.1 billion; it is the predominant religion in Europe, the Americas, South Africa, and the Philippines.
