Description	View of the main entrance and right side of Park Avenue Christian Church, located at 1401 W. Whittier Blvd. in the city of Montebello. It shows a white building with green trim and several small rectangular windows. A set of stairs on either side leads to the main entrance, which has double wooden doors. A house is visible on the left, and an alleyway is on the right; a marquee on the front lawn between the stairs reads "The Park. Play Meet Learn Grow. Sunday 11:00 AM". A somewhat smaller sign with Korean writing hangs below and reads "The Eden Methodist Church". It is unclear if Eden Methodist Church is affiliated with Park Avenue Christian Church, or if maybe both congregations share the same building. Christianity is a monotheistic religion centered on the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth, which teaches that Jesus is the Son of God and the Messiah prophesied. The core Christian belief is that, through the death and resurrection of Jesus, sinful humans can be reconciled to God and thereby are offered salvation and the promise of eternal life. Also, through faith in Jesus, one can be saved from sin and eternal death. Methodism is a group of historically related denominations of Protestant Christianity whose movement traces its origins to the evangelistic teachings of John Wesley, emphasizing that Christ accomplished salvation for every human being, and that humans must exercise an act of the will to be saved. Christianity is one of the world's largest religions with an estimated number of followers that ranges between 1.5 and 2.1 billion; it is the predominant religion in Europe, the Americas, South Africa, and the Philippines.
