Historical Data	In 1973, Frank Robinson founded Robinson Helicopter Company, which employs about 1,200 employees. In addition to manufacturing helicopters, Robinson includes a research and development division, has an overhaul program to service older helicopters and offers educational courses for flight instructors and maintenance technicians.
Description	Several R44 helicopters can be seen at the Robinson Helicopter Company plant, located at the Torrance Airport. In this photo, employees appear to be adding finishing touches to brightly painted whirlybirds.
