Historical Data	The auditoriums's green and white 228-foot long front facade features four stylized towers and flagpoles meant to represent upswept aircraft fins above the entrance. Designed by architects Wurdemann & Becket, it was one of America's finest examples of Streamline Moderne architecture. From 1935 to 1972, numerous sporting events, rallies, circuses, and car shows were held here; the auditorium was closed after the Los Angeles Convention Center opened. After years of neglect and failed attempts at restoration, the structure was destroyed by fire in 1989. Pan Pacific Park now occupies this site.
