Historical Data	East Los Angeles (also called East L.A. or East Los) is an unincorporated area in Los Angeles County, forming part of the East Los Angeles Region. Some notable residents calling East L.A. home have included: (Actors) Edward James Olmos, Constance Marie, (Musicians) Kid Frost, Taboo; (Boxers) Oscar de la Hoya, Sergio Mora; (Author) Maria Helena Viramontes; (Politician) Lucille Roybal-Allard; and (Teacher) Jaime Escalante, to name but a few. East L.A. has grown considerably through the years; in 1960, population was approximately 104,270 and by 2006, it had increased to 127,442.

It is a north view from Whittier Blvd near Atlantic Blvd. This panel shows the agricultural fields, with a small cluster of homes scattered in the background. A partial view of a billboard is seen to the left of this panel; the other half of the billboard can be seen on panel 1. Photo dated: December 27, 1921.; This is panel 2 of 4 single panels giving a panoramic view of East L.A.
