Historical Data	A number of Fire Stations built in the 1923 and 1924 era were built using the same construction plans and were called bungalow stations, which were designed to blend into the residential communities. The interior plans were similar and they all had detached kitchens in the rear. The stations built with this design were for Engine Companies; Ladder Companies were assigned to larger stations. An almost exact replica of this Fire Station is Fire Station No. 44, also in Cypress Park, but located at 1410 Cypress Avenue.
Description	Front view of Engine Company No. 45, located at 947 S. Norton in Cypress Park. A double tank chemical emergency vehicle is parked in the driveway, and several automobiles are parked around the corner on the left. This brick building with a tiled roof opened in 1924 and closed in 1987.
