Description	The real life drama being staged in the Santa Ana courtroom began as a tragedy, with the death of Mr. and Mrs. Walter E. Overell aboard their yacht in Newport Harbor. This photo shows a scene as the drama builds up breathless suspense for the ending that the jury will write. Attorney William B. Beirne delivers an impassioned plea for the jury to spare Beulah Louise Overell and her sweetheart, Bud Gollum (arrows.)
