Historical Data	Originally designed by Alfred F. Rosenheim and opened in 1908, the Hamburger building was enlarged by Aleck Curlett in 1929 to accomodate more merchandise. The store was acquired from A. Hamburger & Sons Co. by David May in 1923 and renamed the May Company. More recently, it has been known as the Broadway Trade Center.
Description	Second section of a panoramic photograph showing the view of downtown Los Angeles, looking eastward from Angel's Flight on Bunker Hill. Various buildings, such as Merchants Trust Company Building and C.H. Frost Building and businesses, such as Hamburger's Department Store and Pacific Surgical Manufacturing Co., are visible throughout the image.; This is part of a series of nine photographs. These images are to be seen side by side in sequence of 1-9 from left to right.
