In 1959 the Los Angeles Chinatown Democratic Club was organized, being the first Chinese-American political club to be chartered in Southern California. The first president was Calvin Chang who appears in the center of the picture holding the Charter. From left to right are: Evelyn Benson, Lupe Gutierrez, Willington Kwan, May Louie, Tommy Enriquez, Clara Chinn, Calvin Chang, Phoebe Gee, Walter Chung, Dolores Wong, Billie Lew and Kwock Wing Louie.
