Daniel Im, a physician at [Los Angeles County-University of Southern California] Medical Center, submitted this photograph. He wrote, "During the COVID-19 pandemic [Los Angeles County-University of Southern California Medical Center] has taken care of the residents of the underserved and vulnerable communities of Los Angeles. On June 5th, 2020, we came together for a 8 minute 46 second moment of silence in honor of George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter movement. We stood in front of the historic general hospital, a landmark representing care for all regardless of ability to pay, regardless of skin color. I am in the photograph."
