Description	Men sit in the sun at the Greyhound bus depot as women sit in the shade under its portico. Cars wait for the light to turn green as pedestrians walk in and out of stores on this commercial strip in Lynwood. Businesses include coffe shops, liquor stores, hotels, drugstores, TV repair shops, etc. The Independent Press Telegram newsstand is on the corner. Photo caption reads: "Today, Lynwood is a far cry from the dairy barn that it was in the old days. Today, it has a population of 30,000. It is near full development. A Chamber of Commerce official said "Our population limit is about 40,000". Photo dated: Jun. 4, 1955.
